
Sandra is a professional teacher of literature and English language with passion in gender empowerment and equality. She worked with Teach For Uganda from 2021 to 2022 as an ambassador for Makerere University. TFU is an organization that recruits and trains Uganda’s top university graduates from all academic backgrounds to commit two years of serving as full time teachers in low-income government aided primary schools to drastically improve the learning and life outcomes of children while developing their leadership skills.
While at Makerere University, Sandra was a student’s leader and served as an Academics minister 2021 to 2023 for Makerere Education students Association (MESA), she also served as the Vice Chairperson NRM Makerere University Chapter 2022 to 2023. She served as the Secretary for Uganda Democracy Academy 2023. She is also an advocate for women’s rights and working with Girls and Mentorship Space (GMS) to inspire and empower young women in leadership, business and relationships.
Sandra is devoted to promoting gender equality and empowering women which she does through public speeches to champion for women’s right. She is also passionate about social justice and making tangible differences in the community.
